Last Monday Julie and I wet down to La Jolla to shoot some pictures. We got there a little before sunset, which was pretty amazing. God has such a talent for creating the perfect background, I love being able to shoot outside. After meeting up we went to La Jolla Cove and wondered around just goofing off. It’s so much fun when you have someone that will just play around in front of my camera. My passion is to capture the real you on film, I don’t want to look back and not recognize the little pieces of your personality that make you who you are. All too often I find people posing, putting on fake smiles to get their picture taken. It’s just so much more fun when people let you in, giving you a glimpse of their true selves.

Last week I had a great time with Sarah & Nathan shooting their engagement pictures. Nathan had only been home for about two weeks, he was on leave from the Air Force but he had to go back two days after we shot. They had a pretty busy couple of weeks, he actually only proposed the week before we shot. So after a whirlwind week they were trying to get the pictures done, needless to say they were a little nervous and a bit frazzled. On top of that they got a bit lost trying to find the Organ Pavilion. Why is it that when you have just enough time to get things done, something seems to come up and put a wedge in your plans? I guess life just has a great sense of humor, or is that a vendetta? We did have a great time though, I had the pleasure of experiencing first hand the love that Sarah and Nathan share. There was a bit of magic that you could see when their eyes locked, it just reminded me why I love capturing these beautiful moments.

I just got back from Balboa Park about an hour ago, I thought I would let you guys see how much fun we had. Sarah & Nathan did an amazing job, I could not have asked for a better couple. I had a great time just following them around as they tried to forget I was there shooting pictures. Although I doubt if anyone could ever really ignore a 6′2″ photographer jumping in their face. I will have more pictures later, I just wanted to let you see a few before I edit the rest.
